Can't find a client and Adding a Holding
When your practice gets started with VetIMPRESS a data link is set up between your practice management system (PMS) and your VetIMPRESS site to allow data transfer. Client records are pulled across and are initially inactive within VetIMPRESS and must be activated to become visible within the site and app.

Can't find a Client
These instructions are for practices which have a PMS integrated with VetIMPRESS.
Steps to find and activate a client:
1. Navigate to PRACTICE → Practice Setup → Clients.
This will navigate you to a list of Active Clients.
2. Click the All Clients button to the top left of the screen.
This will navigate you to a list of All Clients
3. Search for a client using any of the search boxes in this screen.
We recommend searching using the clients ‘PMS Client ID’ , this ensures that should the client have multiple accounts, you only activate the large animal account.
4. If the client is not currently active within your VetIMPRESS, you will see an Activate button to the right of the client record.
5. Click the Activate button on the relevant client, and Yes to confirm, to add them to your active Clients list.
If the client is already active (and within your active clients list), a ticked check box and Deactivate button will appear to the right side of the client record.
6. Click the Active Clients button at the top left of the screen, to return to your Active Client list and locate the client record.
Adding or editing a CPH/holding number
You can add/edit a holding number through the Active Client list in Practice Setup or by selecting the client from the client drop down list on the left hand toolbar and clicking Farm Settings → Add holding (skip to point 3 if you are editing it this way).
1. From the Active Client list, click Edit on the relevant client
This brings up the client details screen.
2. Check the details and click Next / Save until you reach the Holding Details screen.
3. Click the Add Holding button on the top left of the screen to add a new holding, or Edit on the right of any existing number to amend/change it.
4. This opens the Holding Details screen, complete mandatory fields, as follows
4a. Select Species and Area Code from drop-down menus. This ensures that all holding details you enter in the system, relate to this client. (The Area Code for a Northern Ireland holding is UK9.)
4b. Enter Holding Number. If there is a sub-location on the holding number, enter in Holding Sloc field.
4c. Checking BCMS Farmers Permission (GB only) permits us to bring the details into the database straight away.
4d. Select Holding Type from drop-down list e.g. Diary Herd or Suckler Herd
4e. Click Save. The 2nd through 5th tab are not mandatory.
5. Click Next through to Save to close the record.
The newly registered holding can be found within the Client → Farm Settings → Holdings - All Holdings screen and under Practice → Practice Setup → Clients - Active Clients screen within VetIMPRESS.
