Introduction to Lab cases in VetIMPRESS web
VetIMPRESS can process lab reports from all laboratories, both external 3rd party labs and your own in-house testing facility. The most straightforward way for this to happen is by asking your labs to copy your VetIMPRESS mailbox address to any lab reports they email you. If you have done your own in-house lab tests you can either record these using the VetIMPRESS lab submission feature or email your report into your VetIMPRESS site using your VetIMPRESS mailbox as the recipient and typing 'LAB:' at the start of your email subject line. If you are emailing your report, make sure the sender is a known user in VetIMPRESS.
1. To administer your lab reports, login to your VetIMPRESS site and navigate to Lab Cases. Here you will be presented with an inbox style view of all your lab cases. We have introduced the term 'cases' here because a lab case can be made up of one or more lab reports. Should you need to filter these cases, use the options at the top of the page.
2. To open a lab case, click 'View' and you will see the full report details. Now attach the relevant vet and assign to the correct client. When attaching to the vet, there is the option to notify this vet of the report by requesting a copy to be sent to their own email address. You are also able to attach further information, comments and also view the all the report documents within the case.
3. Back at the inbox view of all your lab cases, we have tabs that can display cases according to their status;
- "All' cases in the system are presented as the default view.
- 'Draft Submissions' contains all draft Lab Submissions created using the VetIMPRESS web or mobile app.
- 'Sent to Lab' is for your completed submissions that have been submitted to the lab and are awaiting the results.
- 'Results in' shows lab cases that have results data in VetIMPRESS.
- 'Complete' is your final section showing all cases that have been marked as completed.
4. Finally, another client specific view of Lab Cases can be found in the Client menu > Lab Work > Lab cases.
