Lab submissions and result entry

Lab submission form can be manually created and submitted by taking the following steps:

  1. Search in left hand dropbox for the client and holding number. 
  2. Select the lab work tab from the client dashboard to bring up "Manual Entry Lab Submission form". 
  3. A lab submission starts with the case description. The client, holding, sample date and vet are mandatory. All other fields are optional. Select next after completing. 

  4. The next step is to select the diagnostic method(s) and sample type under the "select tests" tab. Select next once complete. 

  5. The diagnostic tests are then assigned to the animals under "Assign Tests to Animals" tab. This section has the option to link sample numbers to the respective animals.

  6. When the results are known, they can be entered. This can be done incrementally, as they come in. The results for cultures, antibiograms, and egg counts are selected from a dropdown list with predefined options. All other diagnostic tests are free entry.

  7. In the final step comments can be added to the lab results, and conclusions can be drawn. The case is then completed, and a report can be send to farmer.
